เมื่อวันที่ 1-5 มิถุนายน 2569 ณ มหาวิทยาลัย Vytautas Magnus เมือง Kaunas ประเทศ Lithuania มีการจัดประชุม The Kettil Bruun Society for Social and Epidemiological Research on Alcohol ครั้งที่ 51 ซึ่งมีผู้เข้าร่วมจาก 26 ประเทศทั่วโลก จำนวน 151 คน โดยมี ดร.จินตนา จันทร์โคตรแก้ว นักวิจัย และ นางสาวจิรนันท์ ทิพงษ์ ผู้ช่วยนักวิจัย แผนงานวิจัยนโยบายการสร้างเสริมสุขภาพ มูลนิธิเพื่อการพัฒนาสุขภาพระหว่างประเทศ (International Health Policy Program Foundation) เข้าร่วมการนำเสนองานวิจัยด้านแอลกอฮอล์ใน 3 หัวข้อ ได้แก่ อิทธิพลของอุตสาหกรรมแอลกอฮอล์ต่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงพระราชบัญญัติควบคุมเครื่องดื่มแอลกอฮอล์ (ฉบับที่ 2) พ.ศ.2568 ความปลอดภัยทางถนนในระดับชุมชน และปัจจัยทางสังคมที่ก่อให้เกิดความรุนแรงในครอบครัวจากการบริโภคเครื่องดื่มแอลกอฮอล์ นอกจากนี้ การเข้าร่วมประชุมครั้งนี้ยังเป็นโอกาสสำคัญในการสร้างเครือข่ายและความร่วมมือทางวิชาการระดับนานาชาติ โดย ดร.จินตนา จันทร์โคตรแก้ว ได้รับเชิญให้เข้าร่วมเป็นคณะกรรมการของสมาคม Kettil Bruun Society (KBS) ซึ่งสะท้อนถึงบทบาทและการยอมรับในผลงานวิจัยด้านแอลกอฮอล์ของมูลนิธิเพื่อการพัฒนาสุขภาพระหว่างประเทศในเวทีวิชาการระดับนานาชาติ



Between 1 and 5 June 2026, Dr. Jintana Jankhotkaew and Ms. Jiranun Thiphong from the International Health Policy Program Foundation joined over 150 participants from 26 countries at the 51st Annual Symposium of the Kettil Bruun Society (KBS) in Kaunas, Lithuania. KBS is recognised as one of the world's foremost scientific gatherings on alcohol research and public health policy, KBS brings together researchers, policy analysts, and public health practitioners to share evidence and advance global efforts to reduce alcohol-related harm. Dr.Jintana and Ms.Jiranun contributed three presentations spanning alcohol industry influence on legislation, community-based road safety, and the social drivers of domestic violence. 

Beyond the formal presentations, the symposium opened important avenues for collaboration and institutional engagement. Dr. Jintana was invited by Dr. Anne-Marie Laslett of La Trobe University to join the KBS Committee, reflecting growing international recognition of IHPP Foundation's contribution to alcohol policy research. She also facilitated a connection between Dr. Laslett and Thailand's Center for Alcohol Studies to explore joint work on alcohol harm attribution data, evidence that could strengthen the case for more robust alcohol legislation in Thailand. For Ms. Jiranun, attending KBS 2026 marked her first engagement with the international alcohol research community, providing a foundation for her continued development in this field.

A key reflection from the IHPP Foundation team was that alcohol control policy is increasingly moving in a policy-oriented direction globally, with researchers not only generating evidence but actively contribute to legislative change. In Thailand, where the amended Alcoholic Beverage Control Act has now been enacted, continued vigilance over the drafting of Ministerial Regulations will be essential to prevent industry interests from weakening the Act's public health intent. The experience at KBS 2026 reinforced the importance of sustained international engagement, rigorous evidence generation, and cross-sector collaboration in advancing effective alcohol policy for Thailand and beyond.
