The International Health Policy Program Foundation (IHPP) participated as a co-host of the 5th National Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Conference, held on 11–12 June 2026 at Rama Gardens Hotel, Bangkok. Under the theme "One Health, One Future: Act Now on AMR," the conference brought together policymakers, researchers, healthcare professionals, development partners, and international organizations to exchange knowledge and strengthen collaboration in tackling antimicrobial resistance through the One Health approach, which recognizes the interconnected health of people, animals, and the environment. 

As a co-host organization, IHPP played an active role in supporting the conference and promoting evidence-informed policy discussions. During the opening ceremony, Ms. Saowapa Khotchalai delivered the opening remarks on behalf of IHPP, emphasizing that addressing AMR requires strong partnerships across sectors and sustained investment in research and evidence to guide policy and practice. 

IHPP also shared research findings that contribute to Thailand's national AMR response. Ms. Wanwisa Kaewkhankhaeng presented results from the Health and Welfare Survey on Antimicrobial Resistance, highlighting public awareness, perceptions, and antimicrobial use among the Thai population. The findings provide valuable evidence for designing communication strategies and policies that encourage the appropriate use of antibiotics. 

In addition, Ms. Saowalak Rungruang, Ms. Jutatan Rittirong, and Ms. Nantawan Yomchan presented a scientific poster titled "Highlights Thailand's One Health Report on Antimicrobial Consumption and Antimicrobial Resistance in 2023." The poster summarized recent national surveillance findings on antimicrobial consumption and resistance, providing stakeholders with updated evidence to support coordinated action across the human, animal, food, and environmental sectors.
