SRS I Health Economic and Financing (1998-2001)

              Thailand Research Fund and Health Systems Research Institute jointly supported Senior Research Scholar (SRS) in Health Economics and Financing headed by Viroj Tangcharoensathien since May 1998 Program. Initial focus was research related to health financing and health economics. However, in response to the very fast changes in Thai health systems and increasing demand for health systems research and policy formulation among policy makers inside and outside the Ministry of Public Health, the SRS interest was rapidly broadened into health systems and policy researches whereby health economics and financing is still an element of the research program.

SRS II Health Systems and Policy Research (2001-2004)

              Senior Research Scholar Program (thereafter called, the Program) in Health Systems and Policy Research (HSPR) was an institutional grant supported by Thailand Research Fund (TRF). This is the second program grant headed by Dr.Viroj Tangcharoensathien for the period of December 2001 to November 2004. Objectives of the Program were: (1) Knowledge generation through conducting policy relevant research in HSPR; (2) Strengthening research capacity in HSPR; and (3) Translating and interface research findings into policy and practices, as well as health systems development at country and regional levels.
