Despite major global health changes require cooperation of health mechanisms, at local, national, regional and global levels which involves a large number of international organizations in the resolution and management of the situation in a systematic and effective manner, it needs national capacity both in health system and global health diplomacy to support the movement into SDG and other global goals.
Over the years Thailand has played proactive and leading roles in global health by setting and advocating several important health agendas at the global and regional levels and contribute to framing several critical global health agenda to advance, protect and maintain national interest, build national image and use global health as a tool to pave the way for further collaboration and strengthen international relation with other countries. These successes are the collective contributions from continuous political commitment, strong health system and national capacity in global health diplomacy. However these capacities are mainly based on individual capacity, which has yet to transform into sustainable institutional capacity.
Global Health Scholar (GH Scholar) aims to establish a capacity building program on global health to strengthen individual capacity and strengthen network in global health through the principles of INNE model. This program targets young generation who is interested in global health; both technical, international relation group and global health partners from other sector.
